Here are some of the best TV shows availabe on Netflix in 2023. Click on the title to go to Neflix and start watching. Please, keep in mind that I wrote this post using Netflix-Spain, so your catalog might vary a little bit. On top of that, sometimes the content dissapears as licensing agreements expire.
1. Elite
Élite is a teen thriller that takes place at an exclusive Spanish private school. It features three working-class teens mingling with wealthy students until there’s a mysterious murder. Season 3 is available now on Netflix.
2. La Casa de Papel – Money Heist
A group of robbers attempts to carry out the most complex robbery in history and take home 2.4 billion euros. This show has been a hit in Spain and beyond. It’s part intrigue and part excitement and surprise.
A new season of this Spanish TV show is out on Netflix. I found it difficult not to binge-watch.
3. Vis a Vis
This show reminded me of Orange Is the New Black. Macarena broke the law for the boss she fell in love with, and now she faces a seven-year sentence.
4. Alta Mar – High Seas
This is a Netflix Original that is centered around a Spanish murder mystery. Two sisters traveling on a luxury ship discover disturbing family secrets after several deaths occur.
5. Las Chicas del Cable – Cable Girls
This show is set in the early days of the telephone system. Four independent women from different backgrounds come to work together as telephone operators. There are 5 seasons and each show takes about 50 minutes. If you like a romantic drama, you’ll enjoy this show.
6. Velvet
Set in the ’50s, this show is a mixture of drama, fashion, money and love, centered around a fashion house. If you like love stories against adversity this is the show for you.
7. Paquita Salas
This Netflix Original show is the story about an eccentric talent agent. It’s a comedy difficult to categorize. Watch the trailer to make an idea for yourself.
